Reference may also be made to an exchange of messages between Roosevelt and Churchill, on November 29, 1943, in which Churchill invited Roosevelt to lunch with him, Roosevelt declined, and Churchill then insisted on being the host at a dinner to be held on November 30; see Churchill, p. 363, and Sherwood, p. 784. These latter messages may have been oral. No textual copies of them have been found.
