Roosevelt Papers

Prime Minister Churchill to President Roosevelt

My Dear Franklin, I was indeed touched by your kind present.1 It is a beautiful bowl, and I shall always treasure it as a reminder [Page 632] of our sunlit days in Tehran and of the most memorable of my Birthdays.

I cannot thank you enough for all your friendship and support in the years in which we have worked together, and I am glad of this occasion to send you a message of sincere affection and gratitude.

Yours always,

Winston S. Churchill
