[Telegram.]

As the right of this Government to insist upon its demand for the return to its jurisdiction of the prisoners rescued by the Mexicans is ac knowledged by the Government of Mexico, this demand will be suspended by the United States as an evidence of their friendly disposition, and the result of the trial of Gutierrez by a military court for the offense committed at Nogales against the military code will be awaited.
