336. Department informed by Spanish Embassy at this capital that several Spanish subjects have been murdered and their houses plundered by Zapata forces. Please investigate and telegraph facts.

If such acts have been committed please bring to attention of appropriate authorities and urgently insist that the guilty parties be adequately punished and that proper steps be taken to prevent a recurrence of such crimes.
