File No. 812.00/14057.
Vice Consul Silliman to the Secretary of State.
[Telegrams.]
Mexico City,
December 20, 1914.
The Provisional President told me this afternoon that there was still very much opposition to Villa and that another effort was being made at this time to get him to resign. As Carranza will not resign they expect to eventually drive him out.
He also said an agreement had been reached with all the troops north of San Luis Potosi to support the Convention.
