Consul General Hanna to the Secretary of State.

Secretary of Foreign Relations Fabela has acknowledged receipt of a note handed General Carranza by Silliman July 19 containing the points set forth in Department’s July 16, 7 p.m. Fabela says:
Referring to your unofficial note in which you embody the telegram from Secretary Bryan, also to the verbal expression made by Mr. Carranza to you, to Mr. Silliman and Mr. Robertson in their conference of the 19th, the First Chief instructs me to thank Mr. Bryan for the expressions which he conveyed through you to Mr. Carranza. Both Mr. Carranza and I desire to express to you, Mr. Consul General, and to Mr. Silliman and Mr. Robertson our appreciation of your desire that our strife may soon end in a satisfactory manner.
