Excellencies: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your note of May 5, by which you inform the Department that the city of Niagara Falls, Canada, has been selected as the place for the conferences of the mediators between the United States and Mexico, and that their deliberations will commence there on May 18.

The Department has duly noted your statement, in your note, that you have been officially informed by the Administration of General Huerta that it will be represented at the conference by Messrs. Emilio Rabasa, Augustín Rodríguez, and Luis Elguero, and that Mr. Rafael Elguero will act as their secretary.
