Referring to our letter of December 8 and telegram to Haiti bank attached to said letter, please substitute for said telegram the following:
From total gold you hold, retain four hundred thousand dollars there. Have balance packed for shipment uninsured to Hallgarten by United States warship. You will be advised later name ship and date sailing. Cable immediately amount you will ship. Send by first mail all statements condition bank, also statements customs receipts since June 30.
