President Báez today urgently requested conference with Commission for approval of peremptory orders which he was about to have his representative deliver to Arias and others for the pacification of the Cibao. His plans were approved. If pacification not speedily effected President Báez will himself go there and expressed wish to have one of the American Commissioners accompany him. We advised him to press for early settlement of affairs through his representatives.
