Lima, February 18, 1914.
Following my previous cables on condition here I report that pursuant resolutions adopted by the Junta ex-President Billinghurst was removed from the penitentiary at midnight last night, transferred to Peruvian war vessel, which sailed north with him at four [Page 1064] o’clock to-day. Reported he will be released, but not to go south of Peru.
The Junta Government highly appreciates Washington’s action, drawing distinction between this and Mexican situation, expressing most cordial sentiments for our country.
After a week at the Legation Mrs. Billinghurst and daughters left, renting a house in the city.
