Sir: There has been passed in the National Congress a resolution ordering to be made bronze medals for distribution to the officers and men of the loyal forces who during the revolution distinguished themselves by acts of bravery or meritorious conduct.[Page 63]
This resolution also provided for two medals of gold and palladium intended, one for the President of the United States, the other for the Vice-President of Brazil.
