Washington, December 23, 1943—9 p.m.

Greek [Series] 66. The British and Greek Ambassadors have both requested the public support of this Government to the Greek Premier’s radio appeal of December 21 for Greek unity. I understand that a similar request has been made of the Soviet Government.

You are authorized to deliver to the Prime Minister for use as he desires the message contained in the Department’s next following telegram.⁶⁹
