The Secretary of State to the Italian Ambassador (De Martino)

Excellency: With further reference to your note of December 18, 1930, and subsequent correspondence in regard to the article which appeared in Il Martello on November 29, 1930, I have the honor to inform you that I am in receipt of a letter from the Department of Justice25 in regard to this matter. The Assistant Attorney General informs me that there does not appear to be any action which can be taken under the laws of the United States in respect to the article in question.
