The Acting Secretary of State to the British Appointed Ambassador (Grey)

Excellency: Referring to Mr. Lindsay’s note No. 685 of September 20, 1919, and to my reply of October 8, 1919,15 relative to the so-called “Legation Claim” against the Government of Nicaragua, [Page 671] I have the honor to say that I have been informed that the Nicaraguan High Commission has not as yet received notice from the British representative at Managua of the acceptance of the Commission’s award in the matter of the Legation Claim. I beg to suggest, therefore, that the appropriate authorities of the British Government notify the High Commission of their acceptance of the award.
