Mr. Beer took occasion in a conference with Mr. Peretti, head of African Section Foreign Office, this morning, informally to mention matter to him of new French Receiver of Customs in Liberia. Mr. Peretti told Mr. Beer that he had given instructions that no steps should be taken in regard to Liberia until conclusion of pending and informal negotiations with Great Britain and the United States and that he would repeat these instructions to the French Colonial Office.
