I beg to quote the following communication just received from British Admiral Cradock:
If you will permit me, in consequence of difficulty you may perhaps have in communicating with Brazilian Minister in Mexico, I propose pending contrary instructions to contrive to do all in my power as heretofore in the interests of the United States of America, observing at the same time strict neutrality. Should you desire to do so, will you most kindly inform Washington.
