Minister Fletcher to the Secretary of State.

Santiago, April 24, 1914.

Minister for Foreign Affairs having been informed by the Chilean Minister at Washington that the President of the United States would accept the good offices of Chile, Argentina and Brazil in the Mexican crisis, has instructed him to act with his Brazilian and’ Argentine colleagues in this sense. He has called the Mexican Chargé d’Affaires in Chile to make similar offer through him.
