The following telegram has been received from Consul Livingston:

Revolution receiving support on the frontier from Dominican side and may be prolonged. Overtures made to me by a friend of Theodore and by Minister Charles Zamor to attempt an arrangement. Please ask permission Department of State for me, with cooperation Commander of Nashville, to proceed to Dejabon and Ouanaminthe via Monte Cristi.

I remarked that this work be attended in perfect accord [sic] as Livingston suggests, as the situation mentioned needs attention.
