The Attorney General to the Secretary of State.

Sir: I have the honor to say that, as requested in your letter of the 28th ultimo, the Department has instructed the United States Attorney at Philadelphia to call the attention of the judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania to the provisions of Article VI of the Convention of July 11, 1903,3 with Greece (33 Stats. 2126), guaranteeing the inviolability of consular offices, and to suggest the apparent advisability of the dissolution of the order enjoining the Greek Consul at Philadelphia to hold certain papers transmitted to him by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, pending the further direction of the Court.
