Sir: I have the honor to inform you that Mr. Robert B. Jones, the American citizen who was illegally imprisoned, was discharged March 11, 1914, at noon, under an opinion given by the judge a copy of which is enclosed.8

As stated by the judge, not a suspicion was ever against him, yet he, an innocent man was compelled to pass three months in a filthy jail associated with the vilest criminals, the neglect of his business having been the cause of his financial ruin, as well as the loss of health of his wife.
