I regret to report assassination today at Sarajevo, Bosnia, of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir apparent to the thrones of Austria-Hungary, and his wife, the Duchess of Hohenberg, by pistol shots fired by a student. The Archduke and wife were attending an official function. The Austrian Emperor returns to Vienna Monday from Ischl.
