The Minister of Salvador to the Secretary of State.

Excellency: I have the honor to inform your excellency that on yesterday Senor Don Carlos Melendez delivered, as required by our political Constitution, the Presidency of the Republic to First Designado Dr. Don Alfonso Quiñónez, who will discharge its duties until the 1st of March of the coming year 1915, the time set by law for the induction into the Chief Magistracy of the citizen who is elected at the Presidential elections that will begin on the second Sunday of January next.
