American Vice Consul in charge Guadalajara reports that in default payment special tax ten thousand pesos authorities threaten attachment property Compañía Galletera Nacional, stock of which is almost entirely American owned.

Please request appropriate authorities to order withdrawal of demand for payment this tax which appears to be an extraordinary special tax not general and uniform in operation.
