[Inclosure in No.

Mr. Cairoli to Mr.
Marsh.
Mr. Minister: By a note of the 6th of April

The proposal of President Hayes has been the subject of a careful
examination, and I have now the honor to inform you that His Majesty’s
Government is disposed to accept the invitation of the cabinet of

decision, I at the same time express the hope that you will be pleased
to communicate to me the conclusion that shall be adopted respecting the
place and time of the meeting of the conference.
Accept, Mr. Minister, the assurance of my high consideration.
