As the dispatches from America indicate that early frosts have checked the
ravages of the fever; that the relief organizations are being disbanded, and
that business is being resumed, I shall, in a day or two, publish notice
that no further contributions are required here, and conveying the thanks of
my government and people for the sympathy and generosity which have been
manifested in Paris and other parts of France.
