Re SC Election: Dept concerned re USDel’s report (Delga 724 from Paris rptd info Oslo 50 and Copenhagen 37, Dec 18) Dels of Norway and Denmark do not have authority switch from Byelorussia to Greece if election deadlock continues. Dept strongly desires election of Greece during next balloting and requests you approach FonOff soonest and express hope its Del will be given authority vote for Greece during next balloting which we understand will take place Dec 20. Suggest you point out as appropriate arguments mentioned Deptel 369 to Copenhagen rptd Oslo 358, Oct 29,2 and necessity resolving deadlock to permit SO to function as of Jan 1.
