Editorial Note
On January 29 the First Committee completed action on the membership item by adopting the second joint draft resolution of the Central American states (see footnote 2, page 447), with minor modifications. This became Resolution III of a three-part omnibus resolution then submitted by the First Committee to the General Assembly for adoption. The Peruvian and Soviet resolutions adopted by the First Committee on January 25 became Resolutions I and II, respectively, of the omnibus resolution.
