No record of the substance of this meeting has been found. The information set forth above is derived from the Log, ante, p. 527, which also records that the meeting was terminated at 11:45 a.m. The account in The War Memoirs of Marshal of the Royal Air Force Lord Tedder: With Prejudice (London: Cassell & Company Ltd., 1966), p. 393, mentions General Alexander as also present. According to this source, the conversation was confined to a few questions by Roosevelt and a brief repetition by Tedder and Alexander of the reports they had already made to the Conference.
