Your August 7, 9 a.m. You may inform the Minister for Foreign Affairs that at the request of the Austrian Government the Government of the United States consented to take over Austrian affairs in Russia, and you may inquire whether in these circumstances there would be any objection to temporarily raising the American flag over the Austrian Embassy. Your action in this matter should be guided by the decision of the Foreign Office. Cable result.
