Your polite telegram of June 23 has been received, and I will give the matter the attention which its importance demands. Feeling assured that the high influence of the honored body you represent will be of great benefit to the Nicaraguan people, to the Governments of Central America, and to the general interests of the United States in Central America as well as the interests of American citizens residing in Nicaragua, I should appreciate early information as to the court’s views and bases, which may be sent by telegraph through our legation.
