Sir: The department has received your No. 241 of the 11th instant relative to the order of the Sultan of Morocco causing the governor of Mequinez to grant permission for the missionaries of the Gospel Missionary Union to procure a residence in the Moorish quarter of the town, and is gratified at the result of your efforts.

The information contained in your dispatch has been communicated to Mr. Fisher, the president of the union.
