Excellency: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your note, dated the 1st instant, which you addressed to the department in answer to its note of the 29th ultimo informing you of the personnel of the special commission which will represent the United States at the celebration of the centennial of the independence of Mexico.
Your statement concerning the period during which foreign delegates are expected to attend the celebration has been noted.
