(Mr. Adee advises Mr. O’Brien that in compliance with the request of the British ambassador he is authorized to use his unofficial friendly offices in support of the British minister’s request for the release of the captain of the Agnes G. Donahoe on the ground of ill health and because having been in prison already nine months of the ten of his sentence. Mr. O’Brien is advised, however, not to touch the legal merits of the case.)
