24. Editorial Note
Assistant Secretary of State for Far Eastern Affairs Bundy visited Seoul October 1–3, 1964. During his visit he held individual meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs Yi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economic Planning Board Chang, Prime Minister Chong, President Pak, and Minister of National Defense Kim. The discussions focused primarily on relations between the Republic of Korea and Japan, but participants also exchanged views on defense issues, economic developments, and the unification of Korea.
