At the 285th meeting of the National Security Council on May 17, the President, Secretary Wilson, Governor Stassen, and Admiral Radford discussed the outmoded character of current NATO planning and current NATO force levels in terms of nuclear warfare. The memorandum of discussion at the meeting is is scheduled for publication in the compilation on national security policy in a forthcoming volume of Foreign Relations.
