Mytel 272, September 21, 10 a.m. As British Ambassador16 and I agree that it would be inadvisable to make further representations on expulsion of Germans from Poland unless Soviet Ambassador likewise should make similar representations, I consulted Lebediev this morning. He claimed to be uninformed regarding any recent expulsions but promised to consult his FonOff.

Sent to Dept. as 279 repeated to Berlin for Murphy as 69.
