ReDeptel 986 May l.76 Consideration is being given to possibility of our refusing to allocate relief and rehabilitation supplies particularly food to UNRRA for shipment to Czechoslovakia and Poland if indigenous supplies are being exported from those countries to Russia or are being consumed by Soviet military forces there. Although it is realized that accurate information is difficult to obtain please telegraph any available information on amounts of food or other essential supplies being removed to Russia or consumed by Soviet forces in Poland and Czechoslovakia, Also desire information [Page 984] concerning shipment, if any, of relief supplies into those countries from areas under Russian control.
