The Chargé in Colombia (Daniels) to the Secretary of State

1037. Formal note has been delivered to the Foreign Office in accordance with Department’s telegram No. 742 of June 5, 9 p.m. requesting that appropriate measures be taken to prevent execution of judgment against RDC. Minister of Foreign Affairs51 has not so far raised any question regarding legal grounds for this request but has indicated he will transmit it to Procurador General. Further developments will be reported.
