The Secretary of State to the French Ambassador (Laboulaye)13
The Secretary of State presents his compliments to His Excellency the Ambassador of France and acknowledges the receipt of his note of March 18, 1936, with regard to certain legislation pertaining to shipping (H. R. 112) which was introduced in the House of Representatives January 3, 1935, and upon which hearings are to be held before the Committee on Merchant Marine and Fisheries of the House of Representatives March 24, 1936. The note of the French Government referred to is being transmitted by the Secretary of State to the appropriate agencies of the United States Government.
