The Acting Secretary of State to the Consul at Geneva (Grilbert)
163. Please suggest to Stoppani that he may wish to consider appointment to Economic Committee of Mr. Henry F. Grady, Dean of the College of Commerce and Professor of International Trade, University of California, Berkeley, California. In case he is appointed and the Council proceeds with organization of Raw Materials Committee, Council might provide that the American Member of the Economic Committee be a member of the Raw Materials Committee. Grady is regarded as exceptionally qualified both by experience and continuing relationships to explain American policies and is prepared to accept these appointments.
