The Chargé in Switzerland (Greene) to the Secretary of State

55. Letter dated May 7 from Under Secretary General of League states that while no proposal has as yet been made there is a possibility that advantage may be taken of the forthcoming session of the Council to hold a further meeting of the Liberian Committee. He also states that the report on the work so far accomplished by the committee (See Department’s telegram 46, May 1, 3 p.m.43) will be put before the Council. Under Secretary General concludes that should the American Government desire to arrange to participate in or specially follow [Page 685] the Council proceedings he would be very glad if he might be informed as soon as possible.
