Your 398, July 13, 6 p.m. The British Government confirm with satisfaction their acceptance conveyed orally on July 10th through the United States Ambassador of the invitation of the [Page 34] United States Government to participate in a conference of the five Powers, United States, Great Britain, France, Italy and Japan, to be held at mutual convenience in Washington for the purpose of considering the question of limitation of armaments.
