My Dear Mr. Secretary: I have to acknowledge yours of August 15th4 in which you enclose to me copies of correspondence relating to the treaty between the United States and Great Britain for the Protection, Preservation and Propagation of the Salmon Fisheries in the Waters Contiguous to the United States and Canada and the Fraser River System, and agreeable to the recommendations which you make I am sending to the Senate the request for the return of the Convention to me.
