Please notify Panaman Government that Costa Rican Legation here has been instructed to inform Department that Costa Rican Government intends assuming jurisdiction on September 5th, over [Page 227] that portion of the territory in the region of the Pacific awarded to Costa Rica by the terms of the Loubet Award, which has hitherto been occupied by the Government of Panama.
