2554. The published four months’ commercial agreement between Denmark and the Central Powers as from August 1 is as follows:

Denmark contributes foodstuffs at increased prices, receiving in return promised compensation in salt, iron, coal, potash, petroleum, etc., in return for an extra quantity of butter. Germany has promised an extra supply of benzine for the Danish fisheries. No quantities were fixed for the foodstuffs to be exported to Germany; the amounts to depend upon the exportable surplus available. Copy to London.
