Irkutsk, June 10, 1918.
[Received June 15, 640 p.m.]

17. On June 2 Social Committee’s [sic] Party captured Nizhne-udinsk from Bolsheviks and sent ultimatum to Soviet here ordering [Page 201] surrender Irkutsk within twenty-four hours. Local Soviet did not reply but sent Red Army west of city to meet attacking force. Latter has not yet come. No news obtainable as all communications west of city interrupted.
