General Murguia officially states Villa is eliminated and only police work remains to be done. That Villa’s physical condition has forced his retirement is quite beyond doubt. Through trains to and from [Page 910] Mexico City are now inaugurated by the National Line. Food shipments to the south from this point are daily increasing and the outgoing number of Mexicans has become an exodus. That there is to be a state of tranquillity is general opinion with them.
