Railroad destroyed 40 miles south of Guadalajara, and frequent revolutionary rumors throughout State of Jalisco. Increase of [Page 722] local garrison urgent, and representations have to-day been made to the Mexican Government. A well-known American resident on the Isthmus of Tehauntepec reports a state of affairs there which may at any moment result in a general uprising dangerous to life and property. This has been informally brought to the attention of Minister for Foreign Affairs, as have conditions in Oaxaca, where a general uprising is feared.
