The Acting Secretary of State to the Dominican Minister.
Washington, June 24, 1912.
Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your note of the 12th instant, wherein you discuss the Dominican-Haitian boundary [Page 358] question and inform the Department that certain Haitian authorities have committed acts in contravention of the status quo which was agreed by both Governments should be observed pending a definite settlement of the boundary dispute.
In reply you are informed that the Department will give this matter its prompt and careful consideration and will take such action as the facts may seem to warrant.
