Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your note No. 21 of the 28th instant, transmitting a copy of a cablegram received by your legation from the ministry of foreign affairs at Teheran requesting the assistance of this department in placing you in communication with American financial experts with a view to the ultimate employment by the Persian Government of five American financial assistants.
[Page 680]In reply I have the honor to inform you that this matter is receiving the kindly consideration of this Department, with a view to effecting, if possible, a compliance with the wishes of your Government.
